Hannah Brown

Hannah Brown is a third-year audiology doctoral student at Kansas University Medical Center. Hannah was born with a severe to profound hearing loss, so my parents quickly agreed to me getting Cochlear Implants. Childhood memories of receiving my Cochlear Implant fueled my drive and passion towards the healthcare profession; the kindness of my Audiologists who gave me the ability to hear sparked a desire to contribute my services in Pediatric Cochlear Implant Audiology to ensure that children are getting the best care possible. Her interests include working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, pediatrics, cochlear implants, and disparities in rural healthcare. Hannah is a long-term trainee for the Kansas LEND (Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities,) a graduate research assistant for the Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, an active member of the Student Academy of Audiology (SAA); and a member of the American Cochlear Implant Alliance. Hannah enjoys going to concerts, trying out new cooking recipes, and playing video games.
